First, we started with some finger foods, immersed in the colorful atmosphere created by La Baie's melodies. The appetizers were served on a transparent plate, featuring cute cucumbers that provided a refreshing start. The harmony of foie gras was also beautiful. The yuri root chawanmushi (savory egg custard) was gentle and comforting. The chef's specialty, Blue Lobster, was steamed in a clay pot and then beautifully browned, resulting in an irresistible tenderness. The Asian-flavored sauce added a delightful accent. The lobster's claws were served separately with a rich egg yolk sauce. However, due to the summer heat, I found myself feeling quite full... The meat was incredibly luxurious, with a beautiful marbling, and the aroma of the coffee butter sauce was rich! Yet, my stomach... This was the first time I felt completely full after a French course meal, which shocked me—maybe it’s my age.Despite the wonderful dishes prepared for me, the staff quickly noticed my condition and kindly advised me not to push myself.I was looking forward to the cheese before dessert, but I decided to skip it and go straight to dessert. The peach dessert was gentle and delightful.Since I was too full for the petit fours, I was kindly allowed to take home the ones selected for me.I chose this restaurant to express my gratitude to my mother, who was visiting from Osaka for my birthday. She was also very satisfied with the warm hospitality and the beautifully artistic flavors, and we celebrated my birthday together, making it a truly wonderful time.I am sincerely grateful and hope to visit again when I’m not suffering from summer fatigue (*´˘`*)♡
