~Yakiniku Seiryuuen~ I had given up on getting a reservation at Seiryuuen due to its popularity, but thanks to a friend who managed to book a table, I finally got to experience it. I’m so grateful! ① Salted Meats (Tongue, Premium Outside Skirt, Mountain Chain Tripe) We started with the famous salted meats, including the tongue. The texture, flavor, and fat content were all exceptional. It’s no wonder it’s said to have the best tongue in Japan; we ordered three servings for four men and finished it all! The outside skirt paired perfectly with the salt seasoning, and I personally found it incredibly delicious with just a touch of extra salt. The mountain chain tripe was also truly delightful! ② Beef Sashimi This beef sashimi, with just the right amount of marbling, was too luxurious to be an appetizer. It was so delicious that I ordered an extra serving! ③ Omasum Sashimi The omasum sashimi dipped in spicy miso was fantastic. You could really taste the freshness, and there was no unpleasant odor—just pure deliciousness. ④ Yukhoe The yukhoe, said to be one of the best dishes alongside the tongue, was so good that I had a whole serving to myself. It was indescribably delicious, and when paired with rice, it made the rice disappear! Despite being high-end yakiniku, the portion was generous, and I was completely satisfied with both the taste and quantity! ⑤ Jimon Platter (Assorted with Sauce and Salt) This luxurious platter featured Matsusaka beef, Omi beef, and Yonezawa beef. I opted for the omakase Jimon platter, which combined various cuts from the three types of beef on one plate. Each was delicious, but I was particularly impressed by the Yonezawa beef strip loin prepared in a grilled sukiyaki style, the rare ribeye from Yonezawa beef, and the tenderloin from Matsusaka beef, which was said to have won first place at a summer competition (it was my first time trying something like that, haha). The richness, sweetness, tenderness, and seasoning of the meat were truly outstanding, and the ribeye was a fun comparison between Yonezawa and Omi beef! ⑥ Yukhoe Bibimbap ⑦ A good red wine that I ordered just for the occasion It was a bit pricey, but the experience was worth every yen. I’m extremely satisfied! I’m not sure when I’ll be able to go again, but I plan to try for another reservation! I regret not being able to try the popular pudding, though... #Seiryuuen
