I finally visited L'OSIER, a place I had been curious about for a long time.We started with a delightful amuse-bouche. Its vibrant appearance was just the beginning; each bite offered a different flavor, raising my expectations from the very start.Next, we enjoyed a refreshing tomato gazpacho, perfect for the hot season. The lobster dish was prepared in three different styles, allowing us to experience a variety of textures and flavors all in one plate. The standout for me was the scallop and caviar dish. Not only was it visually stunning, but the chewy texture combined with a perfect balance of richness and delicacy was exquisite. The most memorable dish was the red sea bream. Although it was served in a broth, the depth of flavor was more concentrated than I had imagined, making its presence felt from the very first bite. The umami of the fish combined with the sweetness of the vegetables created a dish that stood out in the course, and personally, it might have been my favorite of the day.The main course, the loin, was incredibly tender with perfect cooking. The sauce had a relatively light impression, so I asked for some salt, which enhanced the natural flavor of the meat, making it even more to my liking. After the meal, we enjoyed a cheese cart service. I love Comté cheese, and this time there was even a high-end Comté from Hokkaido, which really excited me! Following a palate cleanser, we were presented with a dessert featuring cherries as the star ingredient. The savarin made with an entire box of cherries was breathtaking, and the beauty of the cherries spread across the plate was impressive. It was not just sweet; the freshness of the fruit was also evident, keeping me engaged until the very end.Even the mignardises were crafted with care, making for a highly satisfying course from start to finish. The wine selection was quite extensive, with glasses starting around JPY 2,500 for both white and red, and champagnes starting around JPY 3,000. They offered a wide range, including renowned Burgundy wines, rare champagnes, and sweet wines, making it a great choice for wine lovers. With exceptional food, service, and ambiance, L'OSIER truly lives up to its reputation. It’s a wonderful place I would love to visit again on a special occasion.
