The interior is elegant and sophisticated, yet not overly formal. One of the charms is being able to enjoy conversations with the chef over the counter while watching each dish being prepared.Upon visiting, I noticed many regular customers, which made the close connection with the chef quite impressive. It was a wonderful experience where I could enjoy not just the food, but also the conversations and the lively atmosphere, making the time spent at "Nikuya Tanaka" truly enjoyable. The menu consists solely of an omakase course.Featuring carefully selected Wagyu such as Kobe beef and Matsusaka beef, the meal unfolds in a kaiseki style with dishes including hassun, soup, meat sushi, seasonal meat dishes, steak, a closing dish, and dessert. The content and ingredients change depending on the day and season, adding to the excitement of each visit. This time, I was captivated by the beauty and presentation of each dish from start to finish. The dishes combine delicate Japanese culinary techniques with high-quality meat, including a plate that made me think, "I never knew you could eat it this way," such as the meat sushi and soup.Among them, one dish that caught my eye was generously topped with black truffles. The moment it was placed in front of me, the aroma spread, and its visual impact was outstanding. It felt incredibly luxurious. And of course, the star of the show is the meat. The steak, perfectly cooked to a beautiful rosy hue, releases the rich flavor of the meat with each bite, allowing me to enjoy it until the end with wasabi and condiments. The attention to detail in the dishes and their presentation is evident, with soba served in an ice bowl, making me excited to see what would come next with each new dish.On this day, some ingredients were changed from the pre-announced menu, with mango being replaced by melon. The joy of encountering the day's ingredients is one of the delights of the omakase course. The high level of completion in each dish, combined with the time spent enjoying the meal while conversing with the chef at the counter, made for an unforgettable and incredibly luxurious special dinner. This is a place I would love to visit for important anniversaries or special occasions.
