I had the pleasure of visiting the renowned Spanish restaurant "aca" located in the Mitsui Building in Nihonbashi.I am truly grateful for the invitation to such a special seat. I had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for a long time, and my expectations were not only met but far exceeded, resulting in a wonderful experience.Chef Higashi's creations honor the essence of Spanish cuisine while incorporating free-spirited ideas and delicate techniques that break away from conventional norms. Each dish was a delightful surprise and discovery, showcasing the ingredients' natural flavors in a truly unique way. The beauty of the presentation, along with the carefully calculated aromas, textures, and temperatures, left me in awe throughout the meal.I have also visited the sister restaurant "Shokudo Aka," but the different approach offered here is a significant charm. In contrast to the friendly atmosphere of Shokudo Aka, aca expresses a more refined worldview, with each restaurant establishing its own distinct personality. Experiencing the similarities and differences between these sister restaurants is one of the great pleasures.The pace of service and the attentiveness of the staff were exceptional, making for a very comfortable dining experience. The explanations of the dishes were thorough, enhancing my understanding of each plate and enriching the overall meal. While there was a sense of formality typical of high-end restaurants, the warmth in the service was particularly memorable.On my way out, I purchased a Blanca cheesecake as a souvenir. It was delightful to have something to enjoy at home, making for a highly satisfying visit from start to finish.I was reminded once again that this restaurant is one of Japan's representatives, with its cuisine, service, and ambiance all harmonizing at a high level. Although securing a reservation is not easy, it is undoubtedly worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to spend a special time.I certainly hope to visit again. If anyone would like to join me, I would be happy to have company (laughs).It was a great meal!
