Just an 8-minute walk from Ebisu Station!I visited Eiki.Opened by Kohei Onoda, who trained under Yoshiteru Ikegawa of the renowned yakitori restaurant "Torishiki" and is the son of the owner of the long-established "Torikane" in Denenchofu, this yakitori shop has quickly gained a stellar reputation. The name "Eiki" combines the characters from "Torikane" and "Ikegawa," symbolizing the influence of these two great figures in the yakitori world, making Onoda a true thoroughbred in the field. The word spread rapidly, and now it has become an extremely popular restaurant with no new reservations available.Located along Ebisu Street, it’s just a 7-8 minute walk from Ebisu Station, right next to the Ebisu Post Office!Inside, there’s a U-shaped counter with about 15 seats. The course is an omakase style starting from JPY 10,000.There are no limits on the number of skewers; you simply inform them of your appetite, allowing for a stop-order system. You can truly savor the dishes to your heart's content. This time, I was invited by a friend for my long-awaited first visit! Here’s what I enjoyed that day:★ Liver ★ Chicken Wing ★ Bonjiri ★ Lotus Root ★ Gizzard ★ Eggplant ★ Quail Egg ★ Tsukune ★ Ginkgo ★ Chicken ★ Thick Fried Tofu ★ Maruhatsu ★ Thigh ★ Shishito Pepper ★ Esophagus ★ Asparagus ★ Aorta ★ Okra ★ Sori ★ Skin ★ Takikomi Rice ★ Chicken Soup The exquisite yakitori, grilled over high heat, truly reflects its lineage!Using Fukushima's Date Chicken, each skewer weighs about 50-60g, ensuring a flavorful and juicy finish.I particularly enjoyed the liver served first, along with the chicken and aorta.I’m grateful to my friend for inviting me!I would love to visit again if the opportunity arises. It was a great meal!
