Fortunately, there was an opening due to a cancellation, allowing me to secure a spot even the day before.I ordered the lunch soba course (appetizers, grilled gyoza, soba, dessert) for JPY 2,750 plus a 10% service charge. For the soba, I chose the popular tantanmen.The appetizer, a dish with tomato and avocado, was refreshing yet rich, and it was my favorite.The grilled gyoza had a crispy exterior and a chewy dough, filled with juicy meat (be careful, it can splatter!).The tantanmen was more substantial than I expected; for those with smaller appetites, it might be enough to fill you up. It had a nice kick of spiciness that was enjoyable without being overwhelming, making it easy to eat.For dessert, I had a pudding with a unique oolong tea sauce that I had never encountered before. Its gentle sweetness balanced the spiciness of the tantanmen.The service was attentive, and they frequently refilled my jasmine tea.On this day, there were many middle-aged customers, including couples and groups of women. The atmosphere in the restaurant was elegant and upscale, with private rooms available, making it popular for business meetings and gatherings.I dined alone this time, but next time I would like to enjoy dim sum or a Peking duck course with someone and take my time.
