Yakiniku at Tokyo En in Ginza.I’m lucky to have secured a reservation at Tokyo En every month, and this time, we had a feast with nine people. Here’s what we ordered:- 3 servings of Omasum Sashimi- 9 servings of Salted Tongue- 5 servings of Salt Outside Skirt- 9 servings of Ribeye- 9 servings of Sauce Outside SkirtThe photos show half of what we ordered. We started with the Omasum Sashimi. It had the same punchy, junky seasoning as always. It’s delicious on its own, and even better when dipped in miso. Overall, it’s just really tasty. For the salted dishes, the Salted Tongue and Salt Outside Skirt were consistently excellent. The garlic flavor has toned down a bit compared to the past, but it’s still delicious. The tongue is crispy and juicy, simply the best. The Outside Skirt has a strong meaty flavor, which is also fantastic. Unfortunately, my favorite, the liver, wasn’t available since it was Monday. Oh well!Next, we moved on to the sauced dishes. The signature Ribeye and my personal favorite, Sauce Outside Skirt. The sauce has lost some of its punch compared to before, but it’s still incredibly delicious. For the Ribeye, I recommend placing it on a bed of green onions while grilling, as it steams beautifully. The green onions soak up the sauce and taste amazing when grilled.Let’s take our time grilling the Outside Skirt. The sauce is truly irresistible with rice!Once again, it was fantastic. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
