(laughs)This time, I was seated at a regular customer’s spot, where Chef Kazutaka Yamada from Yanagiya personally tended to the irori (sunken hearth) for cooking.I was truly delighted! The early summer course features a luxurious omakase with Yamame, Ayu, eel, venison, and pheasant. The salt-grilled Yamame and Ayu were perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and fluffy interior, showcasing the chef's skill! The comparison of the tenderloin and loin of the young deer had no gamey taste at all, and the juicy flavor was rich and satisfying! The natural eel was served grilled white and kabayaki for comparison! The kabayaki was served over white rice with sauce, allowing me to enjoy it in a donburi style. The eel had a delightful bounce typical of grilled eel, and the sauce was perfectly absorbed—simply the best!To finish off, I had pheasant rice for the first time!Despite being called pheasant, it had a flavor similar to chicken, making it easy to eat!It was simple yet elegant in taste.Gathering around the irori to enjoy grilled dishes was incredibly delicious, and I had a wonderful time. The bill was surprisingly reasonable at JPY 20,500 for a non-alcoholic meal! Finally, we took a group photo together! It became a lovely memory! It was a great meal.I highly recommend you visit! Please also check out my Instagram @mickey_foodie99!Rating at the time of review: 4.33Number of reviews at the time of review: 1,329
