The owner, Eri Saito, previously worked at Eric South and opened SPICY CURRY Roka in Okubo on December 1, 2016, after becoming independent. The restaurant temporarily closed at the end of May 2023 due to renovation work on the building, and it reopened in a new location on June 7, 2023. Closed on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Open for dinner only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition to the regular menu items such as chicken, lamb, and vegetable korma, there are limited edition curries that change every Wednesday, with the menu announced on the owner's Twitter and Instagram on the morning of the day. Since December 31, 2018, the restaurant has switched to a reservation system. Takeaway bento boxes are also available but require a reservation. About Reservations: The reservation system starts around 9:30 AM for lunch and around 4 PM for dinner, but it may begin earlier if there is a long line or due to weather conditions. If the line is long, there is a possibility that you may not be able to make a reservation or eat. There is a reservation sheet at the entrance, so please write your full name in Katakana and return to the restaurant at the time indicated in the right column. Group reservations are allowed. When your time comes, line up in front of the restaurant, but you do not need to rush as you will be called in the order of your reservation. If there are available slots, you can choose your preferred time. If you need to cancel, please be sure to call. About Bento Boxes: If you are only ordering bento boxes, you do not need to make a reservation; just call to reserve. Reservations can be made from after closing the day before until the morning of the same day (8:30 AM to 10:30 AM), but please try to call during times that are least disruptive to the owner. Note that the owner may not be able to answer the phone during these hours due to shopping or preparation. When making a reservation, please provide your order details, name, and expected arrival time, which must be within business hours. Direct messages via social media are not accepted. If you have made a reservation and are dining in the restaurant, you can order bento boxes at the same time as your meal order. However, for large orders, it is advisable to contact the restaurant in advance.
