Yakiniku Seiryuuen is a popular and hard-to-book yakiniku restaurant located about a 3-minute walk from Exit A1 of Kiyosumishirakawa Station. Reservations can be made via phone or TableCheck. On this occasion, I made a reservation through TableCheck for Saturday at 8:30 PM and visited with two friends. The restaurant features only table seating and has a calm atmosphere, making it a perfect space to enjoy yakiniku at a leisurely pace. There were many young female customers, including some from Minato Ward, which added to the lively ambiance (laughs). The menu offers a wide variety of cuts, including the highly popular "Tan Salt" and even some secret menu items. From the menu, we ordered the following dishes:◾️ Tan Salt for 3 people (JPY 12,540, JPY 4,180 per person)◾️ Medium Tan Salt for 1 person (JPY 3,080)◾️ Outside Skirt Salt for 2 people (JPY 13,200, JPY 6,600 per person)◾️ Mountain Chain Tripe Salt for 1 person (JPY 2,090)◾️ Liver for 1 person (JPY 1,100)◾️ Horumon for 1 person (JPY 1,100)◾️ Premium Loin Assortment of 3 types + complimentary service from the restaurant (JPY 13,200)◾️ Half Yukhoe (JPY 1,540)◾️ Kimchi Assortment (JPY 1,760)◾️ Seaweed Salad (JPY 660)◾️ Large Rice (JPY 550)◾️ Pudding (JPY 440)The first dish served was a beautifully arranged plate of "Tan Salt," "Outside Skirt Salt," and "Mountain Chain Tripe Salt." The presentation heightened our expectations for the quality of the meat. The signature "Tan Salt" features thinly sliced meat with beautiful marbling. Grilling it enhances its aroma, allowing us to enjoy the perfect texture and rich flavor. The "Outside Skirt Salt" has a meaty texture and rich umami flavor that leaves a strong impression. Since it's a secret menu item, it's definitely worth trying when available. The "Mountain Chain Tripe Salt" has fine knife cuts on the surface, providing a delightful "crunchy" texture. The "Yukhoe" is infused with the flavor of sesame oil. The combination of the meat's umami and the richness of the egg yolk creates a decadent taste. Rice is a must-have with this dish. The "Premium Loin Assortment of 3 types" includes a complimentary service from the restaurant. The service item, "Matsusaka Beef Champion," has beautifully fine marbling, and grilling it releases a sweet flavor from the fat. It was particularly memorable. The "Pencil" cut, resembling ribeye, was tender and sweet, making it another delicious choice. The owner and staff even came to greet us, creating a warm atmosphere that made for a delightful experience. At Yakiniku Seiryuuen, you can enjoy a variety of cuts, including the signature "Tan Salt," "Outside Skirt Salt," and high-quality loin. Although it's a popular restaurant that's hard to book, it's a must-visit for any yakiniku lover.
