This month marks our anniversary, celebrating 26 years. It's also the season for summer gifts, so I stopped by to greet the chef.At first, I thought I would have my usual Karasumi Soba, but it turns out they served the stir-fried Karasumi Soba they used to offer in the early days. It's the fluffy type, which I might have never tried before.A return to the roots.Seeing beef being grilled in the hearth was honestly a first for me.They grilled it for about 40 minutes, alternating between grilling and resting.I think the soba had some water shield (zunai) in it?It might have been udon.I enjoyed the meat with salt and spicy daikon.
