I visited "Goichi," the recipient of the Tabelog Award 2026 Bronze. This restaurant had been on my radar for quite some time.Today, I enjoyed the following:"Omakase Course (including alcoholic drinks)" - JPY 14,000 (tax included)◇ Onion and Tomato Potage A gentle soup that highlights the natural flavors of the ingredients.◇ Salad Fresh cabbage and Japanese radish dressed perfectly. A refreshing and delicious salad.◇ Chopped Chicken Thigh You can choose the doneness, and I opted for rare. The moment you bite into it, the thigh meat is incredibly tender—it's hard to describe, so you must try it. The umami bursts forth with each bite, and it’s simply delicious. Additionally, the white wine complemented both the flavor and the atmosphere beautifully.◇ Chicken Breast Perfectly seasoned with a delightful charcoal flavor.◇ Heart With a chewy texture, it releases juices as you bite into it.◇ Chicken Thigh Tender and packed with flavor.◇ Duck Mince The combination of duck and sauce is exquisite.◇ Chicken Tender I enjoyed the simple flavor of the tender with just a sprinkle of salt.◇ Gizzard The texture of the gizzard and the umami that bursts out when you bite into it is fantastic.◇ Simmered Egg Yolk and Liver The rich liver and yolk create a perfect harmony.◇ Neck Meat Simply seasoned with salt, allowing me to fully appreciate its moist flavor.◇ Grilled Onion from Senshu This onion was incredibly sweet, served just before it melted.◇ Bonjiri The fat in the bonjiri is delicious.◇ Shiso Chicken Meatball The combination of shiso and meatball brings out the best of both ingredients.◇ Kumquat The rich yolk spreads in your mouth when you bite into it—so delicious.◇ Duck Breast Cooked to perfection, maximizing the texture and flavor of the duck.◇ Negima Sadly, the last skewer was so delicious that it was gone in seconds.◇ Grilled Rice Ball with Tea A delightful dish of grilled rice balls served with broth and wasabi. The finale was incredibly delicious. Each skewer had a pleasant charcoal flavor and was truly delicious. I was surprised at how well the extensive sake menu paired with yakitori. The chopped chicken thigh and white wine were a perfect match. I’m grateful to Goichi for introducing me to this new pairing. Having the drink included was also a wonderful touch.I’ve found a new favorite restaurant that I will definitely return to. Thank you!
