It has been almost two years since I visited Mr. Kawa, and I had been wanting to try this restaurant ever since. About a week before my visit, I happened to find an open reservation for a lunch OMAKASE during the Obon holiday. I knew I had to go! Upon being seated, I was welcomed with a refreshing cold gyokuro tea. Since I was there, I decided to add some king crab and the original Megumi caviar.The dishes were not only delicious, but the presentation, the tableware, and the seasonal touches unique to the Obon holiday were all incredibly beautiful, evoking a strong sense of the changing seasons. Each plate captured the essence of Japan's four seasons, allowing me to enjoy not just the food, but the entire experience as a cohesive story that included the tableware and the ambiance.Moreover, the overall portion size exceeded my expectations! By the time I reached the final rice ball, I was quite full, and I regretted only being able to eat a mini size (laughs).Although it was my first visit, the quality of the food, the tableware, and the presentation were all outstanding, providing a level of satisfaction that surpassed my expectations. I look forward to experiencing a different seasonal landscape when I return! I definitely want to visit again.
