I've wanted to visit this restaurant since the days of Chromoly, and I finally made my long-awaited first visit. I chose to come for lunch, as the reviews recommended it and reservations seemed relatively easy to make. The counter has 5 seats with plenty of space between them, and it looks like it could accommodate up to 6. There’s also a table for 3-4 people in the cozy interior. Behind the counter, I could see the chef skillfully working in a beautifully maintained open kitchen. A woman, presumably his wife, was supporting him with everything except cooking. From the window, I could see the cityscape of Sendai across the Hirose River, and I imagine the view will be even more enjoyable during the upcoming autumn foliage season. As for the food, I had a Chinese course meal featuring seasonal ingredients from Miyagi and Yamagata, starting with a medicinal soup, followed by appetizers, dim sum, rice, and noodles, leaving me completely satisfied. I was so full that I forgot to take a picture of the dessert. It reminded me once again that Yamagata and Miyagi are treasure troves of culinary delights. Thank you, Chef Matsuishi, for the wonderful meal. I will definitely come back!
