In my profile, I’ve compiled a list of restaurants and dessert shops that I wholeheartedly recommend based on their taste, atmosphere, and the personalities of the staff. Feel free to use it as a reference.--------------------------------It’s that time of year again, my annual birthday treat! I was really looking forward to this day! Since I visited on a Saturday, the opening time was 3 PM. I arrived around 2:30 PM, and there were about 20 people in line at that point. This restaurant allows representative waiting, so by the time it opened, there were around 30-40 people. I barely missed the first round and ended up in the second. After waiting for about an hour and a half, I finally got in around 4:30 PM. Next time, I’ll definitely come a bit earlier. I used to take a taxi alone or with friends, but in recent years, I’ve been taking the bus from Akabane. Here’s what I ordered:- Beer - Kimchi - Premium Tongue (Salt) - Special Outside Skirt (Salt) - Premium Tenderloin (Wasabi Soy Sauce) - Mixed Horumon - Rice x2 - Black Bean Almond Jelly The total was around JPY 15,000.The kimchi was excellent, well-fermented with a nice balance of acidity—this is what true kimchi should taste like. Delicious! The tongue was amazing, so tender and juicy, with a wonderful sweetness that spread throughout. The outside skirt was beautifully marbled, breaking apart easily while still being meaty, making it incredibly delicious and perfect with rice! The tenderloin was a rare treat for me, as I hadn’t had it in a while. It was incredibly tender and paired perfectly with the wasabi! The marbling was impressive, so a refreshing way to enjoy it with wasabi was ideal. As for the horumon, honestly, it didn’t impress me as much as I remembered. The heart was particularly disappointing, tasting quite bloody compared to previous visits. However, the omasum and others were still incredibly delicious! Overall, though, it was a bit disappointing. Now, the black bean almond jelly—this is truly too delicious to describe! I could say I came here just for this dessert. The beans themselves are incredibly tasty, and the almond jelly has a slightly grainy texture that’s just perfect. I absolutely love this!Perhaps the yakiniku is just a prelude to enjoy this almond jelly. Honestly, the meat I ordered today was all over JPY 3,000 per serving, which is on the pricier side, but it’s all incredibly delicious. If you’re planning to visit, you absolutely must try the black bean almond jelly.Overall, it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere, the taste—everything combined makes this place unique, and you can’t find this flavor anywhere else. I’ll definitely be back!
