■ Rich Chicken Curry (Spice Level 1) JPY 1400Located about a 4-minute walk from Nagahoribashi Station on the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line, this curry shop is extremely popular. You can choose the spice level from 0 to 5, and I opted for the medium spice level of 1. The base consists of a soup made with 20 types of freshly ground spices, chicken, and vegetables, with minimal water used. The ingredients include tender chicken, tomatoes, and a soft-boiled egg on the clay pot side, while the rice side features onion pickles. The restaurant has a counter and five two-person tables.I visited this place, which has won the Tabelog 2025-2026 Bronze Award, for the first time. At the time of posting, it ranks 2nd in the national curry rankings.I arrived at 9:55, and there were 14 people in line! The doors opened just after 10, and there were 11 people behind me in line.First, I purchased a meal ticket in advance. It operates on a prepayment system, allowing you to choose a less busy time.I secured the earliest available time of 11:35 and temporarily left the restaurant. I returned 5 minutes before my reserved time. The curry is simmered hot in a clay pot and made fresh for each plate.Following the eating guide, I started with the clear broth of the soup curry. Although I chose spice level 1, the spices were quite potent, and I found myself sweating as I continued to eat.At the end, I mixed everything together—leaving the soft-boiled egg, rice, and onion pickles intact—and added a little Magic Spice to finish it off.It was delicious, but with my unrefined palate, I couldn't determine if it truly deserved the 2nd place ranking...I finished the meal, drenched in sweat. It was a great meal!
