Every year, I look forward to the Matsutake Dinner at Hiyama.This time, I invited a couple of friends to join me.In previous years, we enjoyed a course that included eel hot pot and fried dishes, but this year we opted for a more balanced course featuring chawanmushi (savory egg custard), dobinmushi (teapot steamed dish), grilled matsutake mushrooms, and sukiyaki.The matsutake, grilled right in front of us by the chef, was exceptional.I might be able to go again this year, so I'm already looking forward to the next visit!
