It's been a while since my last visit to Roka. The owner, Eri Saito, welcomed me warmly. The special of the day was a fried eggplant and coarsely ground pork with mackerel flakes keema. Such a creative idea as always!I ordered the Roka plate special, a petite korma, and a lassi. The lassi arrived first, and I could really taste its unique richness. The slightly coarse cinnamon added a lovely aromatic touch. The fried eggplant and coarsely ground pork keema had an incredible harmony. The flavors of the eggplant and pork combined with the mackerel flakes created a perfect balance that was simply divine. It’s an unusual combination, yet so easy to enjoy.By the way, the water was so good that I asked, "What kind of water purifier do you use?" I learned that the previous restaurant had a maintenance company set it up, but this one was already in place after the move, and it seems to be high-performance. That must be why the turmeric rice had such clarity. As always, the genius-level curry was impressive. I’ll definitely be back. It was a great meal!
