It's been a while since my last visit to Onjaku. This time, I decided not to go for a smaller portion and opted for the regular amount instead. Here are my notes:- Jindo squid from Yaizu with squid ink salt- Ebodai with sansho oil and moringa ohitashi- Hanadai soup with shiitake mushrooms from Fujieda- Sawara and hata with green onion sauce- Fried ginger shinjō- Burdock, eel, and sansho- Zucchini- Kinmedai (red snapper)- Ground gourd with sesame- Tachiuo (beltfish), orido eggplant, and okra- Ayu (sweetfish) and sweet pepper rice?- Hime-dai marinated- Chilled sesame tea zuke- Mango from Fujieda, tea jelly, and hamakou- Zunda (edamame) jade rice cakeHonestly, I felt a bit underwhelmed during my last visit, which made me hesitate about making another reservation.I understand that prices have been rising lately, so it was a concern. However, this time everything was absolutely delicious. Each dish was truly impressive. My companion, who has a smaller appetite, ordered less but later regretted that decision.I completely understand that feeling.Thank you for accommodating my dislikes as well. The squid, sashimi, zucchini, and gourd were all delightful.I tried the mango from Fujieda for the first time, and as a mango lover, I was thrilled. It was a great meal!
