This was my first visit to the restaurant. It was a bit of a distance from Shin-Okubo Station, and since it's located in the basement of a tenant building in an alley, I got a little lost. (As a side note, there’s a Mazu Temple along the way that gives off a Malaysian vibe.)I arrived at the restaurant at 9:10, just in time to sign up for the lunch service. With about four hours to spare, I spent some time at the nearby Ambika Spice Shop and then at a café in Shinjuku.When I returned to the restaurant, I entered the cozy interior, which had only counter seating, allowing for a comfortable distance from other customers.I ordered:▪️ Combination (choosing two types of curry) ▪️ Lu Rou Fan with curry (choosing one type of curry)◻︎ Lamb It had a nice tang and punch, making it very easy to eat. This one gives a standard impression.◻︎ Korma It was creamy, and I was amazed at how rich and easy to eat a curry could be.◻︎ Lu Rou Fan It had just the right amount of spice, making it easy to enjoy. The rice paired perfectly with the curry.◻︎ Chicken It was mild yet very rich. Mixing the Lu Rou Fan with the curry and adding some achar made it even more cohesive.Overall, the rice was firm, providing a great texture, and I could enjoy various types of curry.It wasn’t overwhelmingly delicious to the point of being shocking, but it was incredibly tasty without becoming monotonous, making me want to eat it every day.Plus, since it’s made with spices, it must be good for the body, and I felt very little guilt. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and inspired to make spice curry at home.It was a great meal!
