Last week, I was invited by a friend to visit a popular tempura restaurant in Ningyocho, but I had to cancel on the day of due to sudden health issues! It seems this happens often at that place! Because of that, I decided to finally visit Tempura Kondo, a restaurant I had wanted to try for a while, as I was craving tempura! Fortunately, I was able to sit at the counter right in front of Chef Kondo! ■ The Tabelog Award 2026 Bronze Winner ■ Selected as one of Tabelog's Top 100 Tempura Restaurants 2025 ■ Michelin Tokyo 2026 Two-Star Recipient ■ Tabelog Rating at the time of visit: 4.00 *Location: 9F Sakaguchi Building, 5-5-13 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo *Access: 4-minute walk from Tokyo Metro Ginza Station, Exit B5 What I had (Beverages ● Tempura): July Tempura Set Course Tsubaki - JPY 16,500 *Oolong Tea ● 2 Shrimp Heads ● 2 Kuruma Ebi (Tiger Prawns) ● Asparagus from Hokkaido ● Green Peppers from Hokkaido ● Kisu (Japanese Whiting) *Non-Alcoholic Beer - Sapporo Premium ● Lotus Root ● Myoga (Japanese Ginger) ● Scallops Rare and delicious! ● Onion ● Anago (Conger Eel) ● Small Shrimp Tempura Rice Bowl ◯ Mango The amount of tempura was just right for a quick lunch!
