Due to parenting responsibilities, it had been about three years since my last visit. I was both happy and sad to hear that Kido, who always provided excellent service, has opened his own place. I’d love to check out his restaurant in Akasaka as well.I ordered the Heart Tataki, Kimchi, Premium Tongue, Premium Outside Skirt, Mixed Horumon, Beef Offal Stew, Young Chicken, Chopped Kalbi, and Special Kalbi. While my choices are usually the same, I tried the Young Chicken and Chopped Kalbi for the first time. Both were delicious, especially the tenderness and seasoning of the Young Chicken—it was so good that I might just order it again, even though it was meant for the kids.The Beef Offal Stew is honestly at a godly level; I think this dish alone could keep the restaurant running. You absolutely must order it.Don’t forget to have rice on hand when enjoying the Special Kalbi.Prices have gone up quite a bit, but the food was still fantastic. I will definitely be back!
