In mid-July, I visited this place at the invitation of my dear foodie friend. It’s a counter-only yakitori restaurant located in a quiet corner of Sakuragaoka, just a 10-minute walk from Shibuya Station.The appeal lies in the ability to compare various local chicken breeds such as Horohoro, Hinai, and Nagoya Cochin! Each skewer was highly satisfying, and the duck tartare and other side dishes were delicious as well.The owner, Takuya Kaneko, trained at "Yakitori Ebisu" in Nishi-Ogikubo and "Souten" in Otsuka before opening his own restaurant on June 9, 2013. The name "Chataro" comes from a nickname he earned during his training. His charming smile creates a warm atmosphere in the restaurant, reflecting his wonderful personality.It’s no surprise that this place is hard to reserve; it truly is an exceptional restaurant. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.
