I had been wanting to visit Yoshoku Tsubaki since coming to Gifu.On this day, I chose the Chateaubriand Beef Cutlet Course. The first thing that impressed me was the consomme soup. They use three types of beef, including Matsusaka beef, and the aroma was incredible from the moment it was served. When I took a sip, the rich flavor of the beef was concentrated, far more intense than its clear appearance suggested. Then came the main dish, the Chateaubriand Beef Cutlet. The tenderness of the meat was remarkable, and with each bite, the savory flavor of the lean meat spread in my mouth. The coating was not overpowering, allowing me to fully enjoy the deliciousness of the Chateaubriand itself.I opted to change my rice to curry for an additional charge.I find it hard to resist such changes when dining at a Western-style restaurant.Being able to enjoy curry after savoring the meat greatly increased my satisfaction. This was a meal that truly made the trip to Gifu worthwhile.
