■ What I Ate Tandoori Curry Spicy (JPY 3800) Yebisu Beer (JPY 600) ■ Dish The curry is packed with whole spices, offering depth and a slight bitterness, with an incredible burst of flavor when you bite into the spices! The spiciness in the spicy version feels more like an increase in spice quantity rather than just heat. It seems that even those who are not fond of spicy food might not be too affected, so if you want to experience more spice, the spicy version might be the way to go. (I heard that Java Curry is considered to be at the regular level of spiciness.) While the dish is delicious, it differs from the sweetness and richness typically associated with European-style curry, so that’s something to keep in mind. It doesn’t quite have the flavor that makes you want to eat more rice! The tandoori is large and incredibly tender! You can get a knife, but you can easily cut it with a spoon, and it falls apart when you lift it… ■ Interior There are about 4 or 5 tables and 2 or 4 counter seats. It’s not spacious, but personal space is well maintained, and it’s clean. Classical music plays, creating an elegant atmosphere. The service is very attentive. ■ Wait Time On Friday at 9:40, I was 22nd in line. Later, I saw that there were only 5 people behind me, so it seems there were 27 people total before closing… that was close… I think they closed around 10 PM. The opening is around 11:20, and I entered at 13:40. Wait, 4 hours!? ■ Other I think it’s worth trying at least once for the experience! However, the wait is quite extraordinary, and I realized that I personally prefer the taste of regular curry, so I might not repeat (or be able to) this experience. Payment is cash only.
