On this day, there was a sudden thunderstorm. The train was delayed, so I took the subway from Nihonbashi to Asakusa, but midway, the destination changed, and I ended up going to Aoto instead of Yotsugi. I tried calling my companion, but I couldn't reach them, so I called the restaurant to let them know I might be late. In the end, both my companion and I arrived just in time. This was my first visit to Yotsugi. On the way back, the train took a while to arrive, and I was waiting on the opposite platform. I probably could have gone home over 30 minutes earlier. Now, this restaurant is less than a 2-minute walk from Yotsugi Station. You can see the large sign from the train. That day, I ordered:- 2 Special Japanese Brand Unagi- 1 Shirayaki (grilled eel without sauce)- 2 Grilled Liver- 2 Liver SoupThe course menu is not available in July and August.Inside the restaurant, there were signatures everywhere. Even some international visitors had made it here. They also had premium sake like Juyondai, which was quite pricey. The unagi was natural eel, using Bando Taro. Bando Taro is a top-quality brand of farmed eel that replicates the taste and nutritional value of wild eel. I chose the special grade. It was fluffy and delicious, with a light sauce.I also had 3 pieces of crispy bone snacks and liver as appetizers. I munched on the bones, and it filled me up quickly. The liver was served with wasabi soy sauce.- Grilled Liver: This is the classic grilled liver, simply grilled with soy sauce. I expected it to be sweet and salty, but it was quite savory.- Shirayaki: One whole eel, quite a generous portion. Fluffy and served with sea salt and wasabi.- Japanese Brand Unagi: Fluffy and tender. Delicious. Feeling a bit fatigued from the summer heat, I bought a pack and a plastic bag to take half home.- Pickles- Liver Soup**Drinks:**- Umeshu Soda- Bakuren Chokarakuchi (super dry) 1 go
