Every visit is wonderful at Kataori, a Japanese restaurant in Kanazawa.Located in Namikimachi, Kataori is one of my favorite places that I have visited multiple times.The dishes incorporate seasonal ingredients, skillfully highlighting their natural flavors, making each visit a new delight.Instead of being overly extravagant, the delicate flavors respect the umami of the dashi and ingredients. You can feel the care put into each dish, from sashimi to grilled items and soups.This time, I was particularly impressed by a seasonal dish featuring lotus leaves. The presentation and the beautiful tableware enhance the experience, allowing me to enjoy the visual appeal with each course.The calm interior, adorned with hanging scrolls and flower arrangements, creates a refined atmosphere.From the final meal to the matcha, I was able to savor everything at a leisurely pace once again.One of the joys of visiting Kataori is encountering dishes that reflect the season, no matter how many times I come.This visit was another wonderful experience, and I look forward to returning in the next season.
