I have become quite fond of the delicious French cuisine at 'Restaurant Honjin' and have visited several times with my friend from Ichinomiya.By chance, I heard that members of the Gifu and Aichi Fine Sake Association were also attending, making for a delightful celebration! ♡The buffet-style feast was exquisite, resembling a high-end hotel buffet.Their signature dishes included:- Nishio's Horoku Tuile- Horoku High-Hydration FocacciaOf course, these were available, and as a huge fan of this high-hydration (not undercooked) chewy focaccia, I was thrilled to have seconds and left completely satisfied! ♡While the authentic French dishes are always great, I thoroughly enjoyed the variety offered at this anniversary celebration. There were even core fans who travel from the Kanto region every year, which truly shows how beloved this restaurant is.As expected, it is recognized as one of the top 100 French restaurants in 2025 and a Bronze Award winner in 2026, as well as a consecutive recipient of the Gault & Millau award from 2023 to 2026.Wine, Japanese sake, and non-alcoholic drinks were almost all available for unlimited refills, with rare wines available for a fee.It seems there are some brave souls who can drink from noon until 8 PM!My friend and I enjoyed a lot of food and drinks, but we left the restaurant after about three hours. ♡
