I had been wanting to visit since it opened in 2023, and I finally made it happen. Since it was a counter French dining experience at 8:30 PM, we were the only guests, allowing for a friendly and homey atmosphere with the chef and sommelier. This restaurant is known as the Tokyo sister establishment of the Michelin one-star restaurant L’ARCHESTE, owned by Chef Yoshimasa Ito.The cuisine features a course structure based on classic French cooking while utilizing seasonal ingredients from various regions in Japan, giving it a unique Japanese-French flair. The ingredients are sourced directly from producers, and the freshness of the fish, particularly from the Sasue Maeda Fish Shop in Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, is exceptional. The chef's curiosity and passion are evident, and it’s no surprise that only selected chefs and restaurants, both domestic and international, are permitted to use these ingredients. The plate featured exquisite sea bream, horse mackerel, and red sea bream. If you're looking to enjoy fish-based French cuisine, this is definitely a restaurant to visit. We opted for the wine pairing. As the sommelier mentioned, it was a well-structured pairing, and I was delighted with the satisfying selection. The bread, known as the best in Kagurazaka, was from Pain de Philozof. It was a wonderful dinner.
