I visited Shorenin Monzeki Mae Tsukioka in Higashiyama, Kyoto. This restaurant is filled with a strong commitment to quality, not just in the food but in everything they offer. The tatami-matted counter, the historically rich tableware, and the display of vessels and artwork behind the counter provide plenty of enjoyment beyond the cuisine. I had heard that they specialize in meat-based Japanese dishes, and the course I experienced was truly remarkable, showcasing thoughtful attention to detail with toppings that added distinct textures to the dishes. I will definitely return!
