I love this place so much that my friends and I formed a group called "Uomasa Club" and visit regularly!By the way, this restaurant used to accept walk-ins, but now it operates on a reservation-only basis. They don’t take reservations over the phone anymore. You need to fill out the reservation form on their website. Be careful, as you cannot add to your order once you enter the restaurant! You must input everything you want to order in the reservation form.Also, since cooking starts after you enter, you need to allow for some time. It's a good idea to estimate at least an hour from entry to exit, even if nothing special happens. Considering this is directly related to the quality of the unagi rice bowl, waiting with an empty stomach is not a problem!First, we had the bone crackers and liver sashimi. You get bone crackers and liver sashimi for each eel you ordered! After finishing these and waiting a bit, the long-awaited unagi rice bowl arrives! If you ordered grilled eel, it will come before the rice bowl.The grilled eel is served with wasabi and salt for the liver, which is how you enjoy it. The eel here has a crispy exterior and a fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth interior! I once had a chance to talk with the previous owner, and he mentioned that the current owner (his son) developed this cooking method through trial and error to achieve this texture. Not only is the texture fantastic, but the flavor of the eel is also top-notch!Before the unagi rice bowl arrives, an incredible aroma fills the restaurant! This unagi rice bowl has the same delightful texture as the grilled eel! The sauce is on the sweeter side. The harmony between the sauce-soaked rice and the eel is irresistible!! By the way, if you choose the large size for the rice, it comes in a separate bowl. You can choose between plain rice and sauce rice for the large portion.
