This was my third visit since October 2023, after about three years. On my way to my house in Nagano, I stopped by Gifu for lunch. This time, I opted for a la carte instead of a course meal.At Yoshoku Tsubaki, there are so many dishes I want to try, so sharing a la carte is the best choice.First, we had the famous consomme soup and onion gratin soup. Both are must-try items when visiting this restaurant, especially the onion gratin soup, which has a concentrated umami flavor from the consomme.I recommend ordering one of each if you're dining with two people. For the main dish, we had the beef cutlet made with Wagyu tenderloin. You can choose from Chateaubriand, tenderloin, or top sirloin, and this time I chose the tenderloin. The quality of the meat was excellent, and I was very satisfied. The hamburg steak was also consistently delicious. To finish, we had the Yukigetsuka curry. It was filled with tender A5 Wagyu beef, making it a must-order.It has a classic deliciousness typical of a Western-style restaurant.Since I was driving, I opted for non-alcoholic champagne. This Western-style restaurant is located in a renovated mansion at the foot of the mountains in the suburbs of Gifu City, with a pleasant atmosphere and relatively easy reservations.I think it’s a very good restaurant, but personally, I didn’t feel it stood out as much as its Tabelog rating suggests.Still, it’s a place I’d like to stop by if I’m in the area. This time's dishes:- Famous Consomme Soup: JPY 1,000- Onion Gratin Soup: JPY 1,600- Famous Beef Cutlet (Special Wagyu Tenderloin): JPY 10,000- Tsubaki Hamburg Steak: JPY 2,500- Yukigetsuka Curry Rice: JPY 1,600- CoffeeWe ordered non-alcoholic champagne, totaling JPY 20,000 for two people, which is JPY 10,000 each.Tabelog rating: 4.18, Bronze in the Top 100 RestaurantsOverall rating: 3.86 ⭐️⭐️#YoshokuTsubaki #GifuGourmet #BeefCutlet #OnionGratinSoup #YukigetsukaCurry
