For the past few years, I've been having lunch with my mother on her birthday. This year, we went to Kikunoi, a place she had been wanting to take me to for a long time. Normally, spending over JPY 20,000 for lunch feels like a different world to me, but after experiencing it, I completely understood why it’s worth it. The staff's light-hearted conversation, the creative twists in the dishes, and the quality of the ingredients are things you can only appreciate by experiencing them firsthand. The grilled sweetfish was particularly exquisite.I can't visit often, but I definitely want to come back.
