Goichi, a famous yakitori restaurant in Higo-bashi, is known for its difficulty in making reservations. I managed to secure a reservation for a weekend lunch, and it turned out to be a delightful experience.I ordered a course with alcoholic drinks for JPY 14,000, starting with a comforting tomato and onion soup. The meal featured crispy yet slightly rare grilled chicken, including:chicken breast, heart, chicken neck, liver, chicken gizzard, negima (chicken and green onion skewers), duck tsukune (meatballs), ponziri (chicken tail), onion, cartilage, skin, and rich, tender duck.To finish, I enjoyed chazuke (rice with tea) and keema curry. The atmosphere was sophisticated with a stylish interior and a long counter. Every skewer was perfectly cooked and delicious.
