I had a dim sum lunch with a friend at Mandarin for the first time in a while! I believe this is the best dim sum in Japan. It seems the chef changed a few years ago, and the presentation of the dim sum is even more beautiful than before, which really excites me.We started with a choice of three soups and selected the crab and seaweed chawanmushi, followed by beef, crab, and scallop dim sum. Then, we let our cravings take over and ordered more. I ended up eating a total of three mushroom dumplings, which I absolutely love.In my personal opinion, the xiaolongbao here is just average, so it might not be necessary to order it. Also, the crab claw wrapped in kataifi was mostly kataifi, which filled me up quickly, so I might skip that next time. For dessert, I decided to try the red bean soup, which I had never ordered before, but it came out warm in a large bowl, and I ended up leaving some behind. I should have just gone for the classic almond jelly...It was a great meal!
