I had the pleasure of visiting Caravan, a renowned restaurant in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture. It took about an hour to drive from Hakata in the evening.The owner learned all aspects of cooking, meat selection, and service while working in hotels, butcher shops, and teppan-yaki restaurants in Tokyo. He took over this establishment from his father, who founded it in 1979.Here, you can enjoy Saga beef and Imari beef prepared to perfection. The owner adjusts the finishing touches based on the diners' reactions. The flambé presentation, with flames shooting up dramatically, is impressive, and his light-hearted banter keeps many guests entertained.The hamburgers are also delicious; he adjusted the meat portion while serving, and they were fluffy and tasty.I look forward to visiting again when I can stay overnight and enjoy some drinks.
