Arrive two hours before opening to secure your spot at this renowned restaurant. I got there on a weekday at 9:50 and was 22nd in line. I finally got to eat three hours later. But it’s definitely worth trying at least once! From the outside, you might not expect much, but the interior is clean and well-maintained, exuding a sense of history. The dishes were sparkling, and you could easily tell that the spoons had been polished with care. Both the owner and his wife were humble and elegant, making a great impression. Given the quality of the restaurant, I decided to indulge in the beef tongue curry, priced at JPY 3800! After waiting three hours, it’s almost laughable! But this beef tongue was so tender it could be mistaken for tenderloin; when I tried to cut it with my spoon, it fell apart effortlessly. I was astonished! The portion was as generous as a steak. I was so moved by the beef tongue that I kept thanking myself for choosing the beef tongue curry. As for the curry, being a spice curry, the complex flavors changed with every bite, allowing me to savor each mouthful. It felt more like a stew than a typical curry. Preferences may vary, but I truly believe the curry, carefully crafted by the owner, is exceptional. I hope they continue to thrive for many years to come. I’m glad I visited this wonderful restaurant.
