A sushi restaurant with an L-shaped counter featuring 6 seats, located in a back alley of Shinsaibashi. On weekdays, the second seating starts at 8 PM, with 4 seats in front reserved for couples who can book by phone. I was lucky to snag a reservation through a booking site for myself and the person next to me. We started with grated Japanese radish topped with tuna, which had an incredibly smooth texture. The rolls surprised me with the rice; there was hardly any stickiness from the vinegar, and each grain stood out beautifully. There were two assisting staff members, while the owner wore white tabi socks and sandals, standing on a tatami mat, and changed into outdoor sandals when moving around. The nigiri had a unique elongated shape, with a shrimp that was unusually sticky—definitely not something you find everywhere. Each piece had its own character, making it truly one-of-a-kind. The prices are quite high, but it's no wonder that reservations are hard to come by. We enjoyed a selection of 4 cold sakes: Kikusui, Wataya, Yamagata Masamune, and Iwate Homare.
