This was the first restaurant to receive a Michelin star in Denmark! ⭐️🇩🇰

Today we’re at the legendary @konghanskaelder in Copenhagen, a true icon in Danish fine dining and 2 star @michelinguide
For Easter, I went to try their special lunch, hoping for feast. But from the start, something felt off… Crispy blinis, dry bread, mustard-heavy sauces, the mistakes kept pilling up.

There were moments of brilliance, like the fjord shrimp with mousseline and the quail ravioli, but overall the food lacked the finesse and flavor you expect at this level. When you have to ask for salt and pepper at a 2-star restaurant, you know something’s not right.

Service was polite and attentive, but a strange vibe hung in the air. Some tables got special attention from the chef, others were left untouched. At this level, all guests should feel equally valued.

Maybe it was just a bad day. But for the old King of Copenhagen, expectations are higher.
