Just opened south of Union Square, @papadamournyc is a beautiful blend of Asian bread traditions seen through a French lens. 🍞✨

The bakery is a love letter to Chef @dominiqueansel’s family—named after what the chef’s kids call him, and inspired by his Taiwanese wife and their two young children.

I showed up late on opening day and missed out on a bunch of things that were sold out, but what I did get to try was seriously good: the taro lace batter mochi donut and the pretzel salted egg tart were both standouts.

Already planning my return for the rest of the lineup—especially the steamed breads. Get there early!
