Hwaro continues to be one of those places that feels special every time you sit down. The tasting menu is playful, generous, and deeply satisfying, with dishes that are memorable because they’re simply delicious. It’s the kind of meal that keeps you smiling as it unfolds.
Watching what Chef Sung is building here has been a joy. I’ve been a fan of his since his first restaurant, Kochi. His cooking feels thoughtful and confident, but also welcoming, and that spirit carries through the entire experience.
Tucked inside Gui Steakhouse, Hwaro is easy to miss if you don’t know it’s there, but it’s absolutely worth seeking out.
