One of the hardest reservations to get in Honolulu.
After years of grilling skewers at other restaurants, Takashi Ando finally has his own spot in Kaimuki. @yakitoriando is a counter experience where you get a front-row seat to the process, and Chef Ando’s calm, engaging presence makes the night feel relaxed and welcoming.
The yakitori is served omakase style, with skewers coming off the grill one by one at a steady pace. There’s also an optional motsunabe at the end of the meal, which adds a warm, comforting finish if you choose to go that route.
Reservations are tough for a reason, but if you manage to get in, Yakitori Ando is well worth experiencing.
