One of my favorite parts of @hifoodwinefest is meeting chefs for the first time. Sometimes those quick conversations turn into real meals. That’s exactly how this dinner at @seasons_taiwanese_eatery came about after meeting Chef and owner Brian Wang at the festival.
Seasons began as a family run spot started by Brian’s mother, and Brian later took over, leaving a career in banking and law to carry it forward. Today, the restaurant reflects his roots in Taiwanese cooking, shaped by influences from his time studying in Sichuan.
The menu is full of comforting dishes with depth and personality. From the beef noodle soup that pulls together multiple regional styles to crispy popcorn chicken and black pepper ox tail, everything feels thoughtful, satisfying, and made with care.
If you’re in Honolulu and craving comforting Taiwanese food with a great story behind it, this spot is worth a visit.
