I arrived around 8:15 AM on Sunday and was able to register as the 7th group!I heard that they don’t take reservations, but it’s great to know that even at such a famous restaurant, you can still enjoy a meal if you put in the effort! Here’s what I had:- Unaju (grilled eel over rice, with a smaller portion of rice)- Shirayaki (grilled eel without sauce)- Japanese sake that pairs well with eel (the brewery is small, so details about the brand are a closely guarded secret)- Assorted delicacies (that day, I was treated to soft-shelled turtle eggs as a complimentary item)- Salted eel liverI usually dislike eel (mainly because of the small bones), but the eel here was fluffy and juicy, and I finished it all!I might not be able to enjoy eel at other places...It was a great meal!
