Chef Pablo and Chef Begoña (pic 1) returned to the location where they started working which now became Gunea Restaurante. Their food is some of the most unpretentious and honest “new” Spanish cooking I have had. By “new” I don't mean cutting-edge techniques or gadgets but there was just enough personal touches by the chefs to renew the classics, so the dishes felt and tasted new and not same old.

With their strong technical skills, everything we tried in this meal was delicious, comforting, and with high level of satisfaction. I could feel that food here were created with heart and soul. I loved them all, down to the desserts.

Chef Pablo is also a genuinely nice person with deep passion for cooking. That was what it came across when we chatted about food at the end, and from his smile.
