Hearing about their impressive rating of 4.39, I made a reservation for the OMAKASE experience and was excited to go! They offer high-quality farmed eel throughout the year, so my expectations were quite high even before my visit.The restaurant has a special atmosphere with only six counter seats, where the skilled chef prepares each skewer after making eye contact with the customers, carefully grilling each eel to perfection. I enjoyed the "Special Eel Rice Bowl"!The grilling style is Kansai-style, where the eel is grilled without steaming. This results in a crispy and fragrant skin while keeping the flesh fluffy and juicy, creating a delightful "crispy and fluffy" texture that is simply delicious!The sauce is perfectly balanced, enhancing the eel's flavor without overpowering it. It pairs excellently with the rice, making it hard to put down my chopsticks. This is truly "Umaberas!" The Special Eel Rice Bowl features a generous portion of eel using one eel of 3P size. Plus, there's a complimentary rice refill, which is a lovely service.Additionally, they offer a Special Eel Rice Bowl made with Hamana Lake's Shiko eel, with prices varying based on seasonal availability and quality.Savoring the grilled eel while watching it being prepared at the counter was pure bliss.
