We started with fresh baked scallops with chorizo crumb and seared kidneys on toast with peppercorn sauce — both beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. For mains, the rose veal schnitzel was cooked to perfection, served with a fried duck egg and caper sauce, and grilled lemon sole with new potatoes and broccoli Dessert was a Tiramichoux Bun, Valrhona Chocolate, which was delicious and a small cheese board.

Drinks were equally impressive, with a curated wine list and a great selection of @butcombe craft beers on tap. The service was friendly and attentive, striking the right balance between professionalism and warmth.
