W Toronto recently hosted an exceptional Día de los Muertos Take Over at Skylight that featured Michelin Star Chef Rafael Covarrubias of Hexagon collaborating with W Toronto’s Executive Chef Olivier Le Calvez. Together, they unveiled a six-course tasting menu that harmonized authentic Mexican flavours with innovative French techniques. 🍷

Chef Rafael, celebrated as a ‘One to Watch’ and a San Pellegrino Young Chef finalist, brought his mastery and passion to this exclusive event. The night didn’t end with the food: in collaboration with Baltra Bar, ranked #6 in North America’s 50 Best Bars, W Toronto’s mixology team crafted cocktails that elevated each course.

Creativity, culture, and the essence of Día de los Muertos were present in every bite and sip.
