The Light Bar & Dining is a multi-storey restaurant and bar located in a restored 1893 Victorian power station in Shoreditch. The food is really good, very simple but executed well. We started off with some padron peppers and a chicken skewer with house pickles, both were nice. For mains we had a feast, whole spatchcock poussin, a pretty good burger, Harissa-glazed celeriac, whipped ricotta, quince, chicory. But the star of the night was the Aurox beef steak, girolles, bordelaise sauce. And loads of side, classic caesar salad, Charred hispi cabbage, mustard & preserved lemon dressing. Grilled cos lettuce, chimichurri, pickled chilli. Unfortunately we didn't get desserts because the chef had gone home at 9.05pm but we were pretty full any way. The food was good, not the best in london but still worth a look, Especially if your in a group, more of a lively night out then a fine dinning experience. But we had a good night.
